Who I am

I should not talk so much about myself if there were anybody else whom I knew as well. Unfortunately, I am confined to this theme by the narrowness of my experience. Moreover, I, on my side, require of every writer, first or last, a simple and sincere account of his own life, and not merely what he has heard of other men’s lives… Walden, Henry David Thoreau

I am a Midwestern, academic, choir-singing Episcopalian woman with 2 cats, a grown daughter, and a new-found calling to the diaconate. I considered naming this blog “Called by my Father, Judithio”. Judithio is in fact what my father (and mother, and other relatives) called me from time to time. But for now, I’ll let “Called” stand.

And did I mention that I knit? And that my daughter writes much better than I do? There is a link to my favorite knitting blog (yarn harlot), and to Laura’s blog (ramblings) over in the left column.

(well, there will be links, when I remember how to do that again)
